Early on in life Milford (or as everyone knows him Muff) Koehn had a love for horses. Growing up on farms in Northeast Iowa Muff always had an eye for the horses. Performance horses back then were used for farm work. Muff was always told he was too little to drive the draft horses. 
When he became an adult he finally was able to have his own horses. He met Patricia Moyna who had a love of horses as well. They made their way to a farm north of Elkader, Iowa and began raising quality quarter horses in the 1950’s. Through the years, their seven children and numerous extended family and friends had the opportunity to ride and show these exceptional animals. These horses are known for their conformation, good sense and easy handling. They are raised in the hills of Northeast Iowa and come from quality. They are versatile and can do any job that is asked of them.
It’s been said and proven true Muff has more pictures of his horses than of his kids. Muff has a love for these animals.
